Business Development Manager - Ireland
The Business Development Manager is responsible for growing the Olive for Education business in Ireland through new business acquisition. You will identify opportunities, manage them through the sales cycle, close the business and then manage the account for a period of 6 months to a year ensuring the highest levels of ensure best in class client service. You will be a highly motivated and driven Sales Professional with a minimum of 3 years current Business Development/Field Sales experience as well as a positive, hard-working attitude. We love team players who enjoy the thrill of achieving goals and have a genuine interest in Edtech and helping to empower students and teachers through digitalisation.
Key responsibilities
- You will be a highly focused new business hunter, hungry to find opportunities and win business to grow your portfolio of customers.
- Personally identify and develop relationships with senior stakeholders and their colleagues to build long-term business opportunities.
- Develop and maintain close working relationships with the executive level decision-makers in customers and develop well-grounded account plans to maximise growth.
- Align with local customer success and technical support teams to help them to resolve any customer issues as they arise.
- Meet agreed Sales, Revenue and Gross Margin targets, as set out quarterly and annual by the Sales Director.
- Maintain a pipeline of opportunities at all stages of the sales cycle to ensure you are continually adding new leads as you close new business.
- Updating the company CRM on a daily basis to maximise the power of the information available to the business.
Experience
- A minimum of 3 years proven Business Development Manager with current field sales experience
- Demonstrable ability to be a key influencer at senior level
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain client relationships
- Strong commercial aptitude with experience and ability to negotiate deals successfully
- Ability to understand and articulate customer issues and requirements and to work internally across departments to build solutions
- A pro-active “go-getter” with experience of working independently as a self-starter who is hungry for success
- Computer literate with good experience working with CRM’s, Microsoft Office suite and other software systems as required
- Experience in Edtech or Education would be a benefit but is not essential
- Full Clean Driving Licence
Job Type: Full-time. Salary: Negotiable, dependant on experience
