Frequently Asked Questions

We regret to inform you that we cannot provide cover for multiple devices under a single policy at the moment.

To ensure comprehensive protection for both of your devices, you’ll need to obtain separate policies for each one. This approach allows for tailored cover suited to the specific needs of each device.

Currently, we do not offer the option to switch devices. However, we can assist you in cancelling your current policy and issuing a new one for your latest device.

You have three options to submit a claim to Davies Group:

  1. Option 1: You can submit a claim online by copying and pasting the following link into your web browser: olive.davies-group.com.

  1. Option 2: Alternatively, you can submit a claim via email to the following email address: gadgetclaims@davies-group.com.

  1. Option 3: If you prefer, you can also submit a claim via telephone by calling Davies Group on (+353) 1800 456 822

All claims will be subject to an excess of €50.

Additionally, the excess reduces annually if you have not made a claim (which we have settled) in the preceding period(s) of insurance after your original inception date.

However, this may be an option we consider offering in the future.

We accept Mastercard and Visa cards, including both Credit and Debit cards from these brands.

At this time, there are no additional cover options available to supplement the standard cover.

Cover outside of Ireland is available for a maximum of 180 days during any 12-month period.

Currently, we are unable to make additions or changes to existing policies.

To make any amendments, you would need to cancel your current policy and purchase a new one for the new device.

There are no limits on the number of claims you can submit.

You are welcome to submit claims as frequently as needed, as long as each claim is necessary and meets our eligibility criteria.

As long as the product was purchased from the Olive for Education Store within the last 12 months and you can provide proof of purchase, you will be eligible to insure the device.

Yes, however in the event of a claim, we need to verify that the product was purchased within the specified terms outlined in the policy wording.

This can include a copy of your receipt or delivery note.

Additionally, you may be asked to provide evidence that your gadget has been used after the date you insured it.

If a payment fails, we will make two additional attempts to withdraw the funds. If these attempts are unsuccessful, the policy will lapse after the last day of cover.

You will be notified by email each time we attempt to take the payment, along with the outcome of each attempt.

When purchasing a policy, you will incur a 5% government levy charge, which is included in the price.
